Review

Leonard - Hoecks - Brussel
How to describe “paradise”? How to evaluate “new friends”? It feels like that is what we are supposed to do in this review, and that’s “not done”. The location is stunning, the premises impeccable, plenty of excellent food&wine in the region. The kind of quality you hope for on your vacation, but rarely find. Apart from the excellent breakfast and comfortable room, the “Old Presbytery” offers free car battery charge (on solar panels), a 5 x 10 meter pool equipped with a counter-current engine, electric bikes, fast internet, …you see : The Old Presbytery is everything but “Old”! The hosts Wayne and David told us they never spent a vacation in a B&B or Gîte, and yet they are able to offer one of the best B&B’s we’ve ever been to in 30 years. The only thing that needs improving is Wayne’s “French”, but he’s working on it (that’s what he says …) Dirk & Bert (Brussels), May 2023 »

« We had a marvelous stay for four days at the Old Presbytery. Wayne and David are excellent hosts, and the B&B is located at a very quiet and beautiful place and with lots of interesting sightseeing possibilities in the area. The room is spacious and convenient and we enjoyed the salt-water pool very much. We also really enjoyed the great meals that David served during our stay – he is an excellent cook! »

« We stayed for two nights and wish we had stayed a bit longer. The accommodation is first rate; clean and comfortable. The hosts, Wayne and David, couldn't have been friendlier or more welcoming. Breakfast was good and tailored to what we wanted. Although they do not offer table d'hote, we did have a sharing plate on one of the evenings that we were there, which really was very good and sufficient for us. The stay was everything that we wanted and we have no hesitancy in recommending it. »
