Bournemouth is a large town and tourist resort, situated on the south coast of England.
Bournemouth, once referred to as "God's Waiting Room", has in recent years become a much younger and vibrant place. It has a large student population (including many exchange students) and many young people are drawn there by its extensive nightlife, including clubs with 24 hour licences, often open until morning.

The town has many nightclubs and pubs, most of which have taken advantage of the recent change in licensing laws to stay open after the traditional pub closing time.

Bournemouth has been a gay mecca for many years, even when it used to be a sleepy retirement town. It has become a lot more cosmopolitan over the last decade and even has a gay village now, just minutes from the city center, up the hill, in the area called The Triangle

Bournemouth, is also one of the UK's most popular gay beach destinations.
