Our house is a former farmhouse typical of the Périgord region, overlooking a small valley where our land slopes down through a flower-filled meadow to our fully fenced and tree-lined pond. Opposite us is the forest.

The ground-floor room, for 2 or 4 people, has its own private entrance from the garden, a bathroom with shower, and separate toilet. It measures 18 m² and has a comfortable 160 x 200 cm bed. The room offers a beautiful high ceiling with exposed beams and a stone wall. For 4 guests, there is a 13 m² mezzanine with another 160 cm bed. The mezzanine has a sloping ceiling.
Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms with a shared but private bathroom, including a bathtub, two washbasins and private toilets.
We never rent these two rooms to different guests. If you are only 2 people, the second bedroom will not be rented during your stay. The first bedroom measures 15 m² and has a 140 x 200 cm bed with a very comfortable mattress. It benefits from dual-aspect windows.
The second bedroom measures 11 m² and has a 140 x 190 cm bed, also very comfortable.
The third bedroom is located on the second floor and occupies the entire floor, with its own bathroom with shower directly accessible from the bedroom, as well as separate toilets. It also has a dressing area. This attic room has exposed beams and a portable air-conditioning unit. It measures 22 m².
A French-style breakfast is included. It is served either indoors or outdoors and includes a hot drink, homemade orange juice, pastries, bread and jams, muesli and yoghurt.
The pond is fully fenced for safety reasons.
Guests have access to the indoor lounge, the winter garden with its sitting area and relaxing “coffee” corner, the 3-hectare grounds with gardens, and the pond, subject to compliance with safety rules. Unfortunately, we cannot accept children under the age of 12 due to potential hazards in the outdoor areas, such as unprotected high stone walls.
We are located 15 km from Sarlat and 5 km from Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, in the heart of the countryside, with no disturbances, no road nearby, and no overlooking neighbours, on 3 hectares surrounded by forest and organic walnut groves.
We have a 6,000 m² pond fed by three springs, fenced and ideal for relaxation and walks.
Many hiking trails are accessible nearby, as well as the main tourist sites of the Périgord: the Château des Milandes 5 km away, Marqueyssac, Beynac-et-Cazenac and La Roque-Gageac less than 10 km away.
We live on site and are therefore available to welcome you, serve breakfast and assist you during the day if needed.
The main tourist sites of the Périgord are easily accessible and can be visited over several days. The Lot region is also very close and can make for a lovely day trip.
Within a 10-minute drive, you can enjoy hot-air balloon rides, canoeing on the Dordogne, Lascaux and many other prehistoric sites, as well as numerous outdoor sports activities.
There are many restaurants nearby, accessible by car.
Sarlat-la-Canéda is a 15-minute drive away. The house and estate are entirely non-smoking, particularly because of the risk of fire in summer. A dedicated outdoor smoking area is available.
The place is ideal for peace, relaxation and meditation. We ask our guests to respect this tranquillity.

The tourist tax applies per person and per night: €0.44, payable on arrival by cheque or in cash.
Minimum stay of 3 nights during high season, in July and August.
