Luberon Overview

 

The parishes of SAINT CHRISTOL - MONIEUX - AUREL and SAINT TRINIT combine with SAULT to form the ancient Comté de SAULT, each with its Romanesque church or chapel. The remains of a rich past can be discovered along tracks edged by lavender fields whose tones and scents will delight your senses.

SAULT has an important place on the "Lavender Routes" which in their latest version take the visitor from CARPENTRAS via the Nesque Gorges with their wild grandeur, or from VAISON LA ROMAINE throught the Toulourenc Valley with the lovely villages of SAINT LEGER, BRANTES, SAVOILLANS, AULAN, REILHANETTE and MONTBRUN LES BAINS which you will find if you follow our recommended routes (see circuits).

Following the "Lavender Routes" you will discover the features of this countryside that have been fashioned by a century of human ingenuity, recently combined with scientific research.
