Welcome to Maison des Palmiers, a beautiful nineteenth-century ‘chambres d’hôtes’ bed and breakfast located in the centre of the pretty village of Bize-Minervois, in the Languedoc wine-making region of the south of France. We aim to create a wonderful and relaxing home-from-home experience for you, with five comfortable suites, delicious meals and cocktails, and advice on how to get the very best from your stay in our gorgeous region of France. Our hope is that you arrive as guests and leave as friends.
We offer five spacious suites with spacious bathrooms. Our suites include a large deluxe room and a room with a terrace overlooking the garden. Tastefully decorated in a ‘south of France style’, the suites boast traditional tiled floors and are all very light and airy. They are all equipped with Nespresso coffee machines, tea-making facilities and of course luxurious towels and linens.
After a day of sightseeing, take a dip in the cool waters of our pool - set amid tranquil Mediterranean gardens. Enjoy a chilled glass of rosé from a local winery, or let us make you one of our famous cocktails. The property also offers a large and very comfortable sitting room with a television and range of games. We also offer free Wi-Fi internet inside and out.
Richard is a keen cook, and is on hand every morning preparing a delicious breakfast with fresh breads and croissants from our local bakery. At mid-day, we offer tasty lunches which you can enjoy by the pool. And in the evenings we are happy to provide dinners or light suppers as well as recommending local restaurants, including our favourite Chez Jean Marc.
As well as being stunningly beautiful, the Languedoc region of southern France is a veritable treasure chest of medieval castles and abbeys, countless wineries offering tastings and tours, miles of beaches, pretty villages and endless outdoor activities. Rent a boat and spend the day floating down the Canal du Midi. Visit some of the world’s top Roman ruins. And spoil yourself to delicious cuisine (and amazing seafood) in the area’s many restaurants.
