The Baltic Sea Overview
The Baltic Sea is located in Northern Europe, from 53°N to 66°N latitude and from 20°E to 26°E longitude. It is bounded by the Scandinavian Peninsula, the mainland of Europe, and the Danish islands.
It is the largest brackish water basin in the world. Its water is a mixture of salty water from the ocean and fresh water supplied by numerous rivers.
The Baltic Sea is one of the fascinating areas in the world - with a rich history, an unspoiled nature in a safe and secure environment. Travelling is easy in this region - you can explore the medieval cities, the Scandinavian metropolis, the white beaches, cliffs and huge woods.
