Three beautiful apartments for 2 to 5 people, in a newly renovated catalan "mas". Vivès is a sleepy village close to Céret, Collioure and the Spanish border, quiet yet very handy for all the attractions and beaches of the area.
Against the backdrop of majestic Mont Canigou, Vivès nestles amongst more gentle, rolling hills covered in vineyards and forests of cork oaks and mediterranean pines. Yet access by car is easy: just 10 minutes from the A9 motorway, 10 minutes from a bathing and boating lake and 25 minutes from the Mediterranean beaches, which range from the coves of Paulilles, ideal for snorkelling, to the traditional supervised bathing at Collioure and Argeles, or to the wilder gay/naturist beaches such as Bocal du Tech, also close by. Our region is full of interesting history, art and music, not forgetting of course the renowned wine trails. With plenty of country tracks around, this is also an ideal setting for rambling, bike rides and many other activities revolving around nature. We have bikes available.
At El Portal you can enjoy the peace and tranquility, choosing between our three apartments, whether the grand and spacious Albeniz, with its galleried living room and 1-2 bedrooms (2-5 people), the cottage-like Granados with its mimosa-shaded terrace (2-3 people), or the loft-style studio Casals with more modernistic décor (2 people). Each apartment is decorated in the vibrant, warm Catalan colours, equipped to a high standard, and each is set apart from the others with its own private terrace (two in the case of Albeniz).
