This lavender route through the Verdon, is proposed to us by the Regional Tourism Committee, motorcycle section.

An 85 km circuit through landscapes as diverse as they are typical ... Discover the tradition of lavender which, for centuries, has forged the face of the Alpes de Haute-Provence, especially that of the Valensole plateau in the heart of Regional Natural Park of Verdon.

Along the roads, beekeepers present their products from this plant which appeared in the Middle Ages in the monasteries and which was quickly recognized for its medicinal properties.

In the first third of the 20th century, lavandin invaded the plateaus and plains while the traditional fine lavender remained confined to the mountains. Lavender or lavandin, the landscapes sculpted by the rows of plantations attract for their colors.

Some criticize them for an "epinal image" aspect, which is why they prefer to cross these landscapes out of season when the cut lavender winters while waiting for spring to grow back and offer Provence its colors.

Take the D907 then the D8 at the “Poteau de Telle” viewpoint
Direction SW for 23 km
in Valensole, take the D8. Direction SW for 13 km.
in Gréoux-les-Bains, follow the D952, heading east for 12 km.
in Germany-en-Provence, take D952 north-east for 8.5 km.
in Riez, follow the D952 then the D56 towards Puimoisson - North East for 12 km.
in Puimoisson, the D108 for 8.5 km eastbound.
in Saint Jurs on the D108 then D907 (turn right), direction North for 8 km
