The West and south coast of Reunion give the nicest beaches of the island. The beaches of the "Roches Noires", "Boucan Canot" and "Hermitage " are the most popular, but " the Hot Mouse " which carries off most successes to the local gays. An unspoilt beach , just off the main road, bordered with basaltic coves and natural swimming pools, the "Hot Mouse" or "Kitou ni" or "Cuzo Vent" (creole for "bare bum or bum in the wind)"is also a famous for naturism in spite of the municipal prohibition.

To get there : coming from La Saline on the RN1 towards Saint-Leu, just after the beach "the Trou d'Eau". Take the exit and park on the old road after the bridge. This is a very much visit beach, both day and night.

Pour s'y rendre : sortir de La Saline les Bains, sur la RN1, prendre la direction de Saint-Leu, juste après la plage de « Trou d'Eau' ». Prendre ensuite la sortie aménagée et stationner sur une ancienne voie désafectée. La plage est très fréquentée de jour comme de nuit.
